After listening to the album over the weekend (Constantly) RWD can be the first magazine to officially tell you that the LP the UK is waiting for is… BIG!!!
We seriously can't stop listening to it. Personally, I'm feeling it more than anything done by any other crew that has originated from grime/garage/whatever one calls it. So far I feel that 'Heat Up', 'Shake a leg', 'The Avenue', ‘Show You’, 'Good Girl' and 'When I'm ‘Ere' are the best things to come from this scene but I'll change my mind in about three tracks time as they are ALL immense.
We shot the cover on Friday and Flo Dan told us, “Every track I’m on I come with a different vibe; I just bring what’s going on. We’re about team work so you match the vibe and don’t overpower it. ‘Bus Stop’ is kind of a conscious track and we talk about just trying to make it really. It may be considered a bit commercial but you just can’t focus on war you have to focus on the money.
Most of the beats and lyrics are done in-house, but the likes of Kano and Donea’o represent on the album. There are two productions from outside the camp including some Terror Danjah action and it all bonds together to create something that’s not quite grime and a ‘lil bit commersh (self-confessed by the crew themselves).
The album WILL put them on a new level and when it drops IF WE ALL COP DAT ISH it could send them high places.
For the full interview and review of their album, watch out for the May 'Deep Issue' of RWD magazine out April 13th. Look out for the track listing and release date to be updated on this site very soon. _________________ FEU SUR TOI PIRATE, PULL UP :

Ici ils disent 16 mai: http://www.rwdmag.com/music_articles/features/40759/roll_deep/deep_deep_inside/
Puis il y a ça aussi:
Almost as deep as the crew is their range of influences, but it’s Dipset more than anyone you’ll hear ‘em bangin’ on their car stereos. “They’re our favourite crew” says Flowy, “they keep it as a unit and they’re not really that exposed. They go on professional.” “He thinks he’s Jim Jones”, says Target pointing to Flo, they all laugh and back him up, so he goes on, “there are a few Killa Cams, a few Julez’, we got about four Santana’s and a few JR Writers, so we’re set up.” Well if the impending album has anything to do with it, boy… Byrd Gang better be careful as the entourage are soon going to have some serious flying to do too.
Si l'album est le Rollin Deep, ce serait décevant, se passer du talent de beatmaker de Wiley est incompréhensible; mais ils n'ont surement fait qu'y reprendre des morceaux. _________________ CRUNKBLE |
