BOBMO is a young (17) producer hailing from the hyperactive city of Paris via the even more hyper city of Bordeaux. While in high school, with no musical training, he launched a short-lived rap career, making beats on his Playstation (no, really!), spitting awkward tales of murder and woe.

Bordeaux is a pretty cool place and, hanging out with the right crowd, going to the right club, and listening to the right radio show, Bobmo got into Detroit techno, Miami bass, electro and, most importantly, Chicago house. He got himself a PC and downloaded everything from legendary labels Dancemania and Trax. Like so many kids (he’s 19, by the way) of the P2P generation, he ended up taking matters into his own hands. This is the result: “LET’S GO BOBMO!”.
We could have argued that his biggest influence is the endless stream of free-flowing slivers of sound-as-data which engulfed the world after the 1999 Napster Breaking of the Copyright Dam. But hey, we’re not that full of shit.
Plus, such theoretical gut looks unsightly tagged to the delicate, wiry frame of a twelve-year old drug addict. Let’s just stop at his love for Robert Armani and Armando, all right? Now, please welcome these three tracks into your life, they come from the heart.

A1 - HOME ALONE. Of course he’s home alone. He’s fifteen, what did you expect? It’s Latchkey Rave, pure bottled up energy, countless nights of hardcore bedroom partying compressed into a piano riff, pumping drums and a weird screeching sound morphing from crazed bird to energy flash.

A2 - FREAK ME. Let’s add some acid to the mix, some vocal edits and move the party to the street. The vocal stabs here are on a pure energy binge, even more compressed, building tension like there’s no tomorrow. But hey, do we really need a tomorrow?

B1 - TO THE BOBMOBILE. This will appeal to the kidult lurking behind your polished techno connoisseur facade. Drums pumping and shuffling, cute two-note organ riff, filters opening and closing spasmodically, vocal stabs heckling and cackling, climaxing at some point into a little percussive solo, like a sugar-addled kid breaking into a tap dance routine in the middle of his bar mitzvah. GREAT.

Supported by, most notably, the Ed Banger crew, MSTRKRFT, Sinden, Jonty Skrufff...
